The arctic unicorns are suited to their habitat because they have a very thick layer of fat which keeps them warm in the sub-zero temperatures of the arctic water.
ReplyDeletealso, as they are mammals, their sharp "horn" breaks holes in the layer of ice over the water so they can breathe. If they couldn't breathe in air, they would die.

ReplyDeleteHave you seen these as well? They have adapted so well to their environment that they have learnt how to use the volcanic springs and pools to keep warm and bathe in. They play with snowballs too! Awww :o)
