How have they adapted to suit their environment?
Extra bonuses to people that answer correctly supporting their answers! (hee hee level 5!)

I think they are amazing! Slightly Mythical.

  1. The arctic unicorns are suited to their habitat because they have a very thick layer of fat which keeps them warm in the sub-zero temperatures of the arctic water.

  2. also, as they are mammals, their sharp "horn" breaks holes in the layer of ice over the water so they can breathe. If they couldn't breathe in air, they would die.

  3. The arctic unicorns are suited to their environment because they have a very thick layer of fat which helps to keep them warm in the low temperatures in the water. As they are mammals they need to breathe in air, as a result they break holes through the ice so they can breathe.

  10. Have you seen these as well? They have adapted so well to their environment that they have learnt how to use the volcanic springs and pools to keep warm and bathe in. They play with snowballs too! Awww :o)
